I am Jackie Gaines, both a loving wife, mother and artist for many years. I was born and raised in Indiana, where I was adopted by a loving family in my late teen years. I moved to Florida in my early 20's and have called it home ever since.
I am nestled in the northern part of Palm Beach County, Florida, where some of the most beautiful beaches, historic buildings and wild life are located.
I was asked to take a drawing test of a reindeer at 6 years old and have been drawing ever since. I was guided by some inspirational teachers who pushed me to give my all in every project.
Teaching for several years now, at assistant livings, community centers and private lessons, I have watch my students grow.
“Poor is the pupil who does not surpass his master.” --Leonardo da Vinci Quote
I received several art scholarships to help me attend Ball State University in the 80's. I have been taking graphic and web design classes trying to keep up with the computer age.
I worked several years in marketing for a million dollar a month company. I have now returned to my true love; a canvas and paints.
When I am in the solitude of my studio I feel the sensation of telling a story, or a release of my emotional passion with every stroke of the brush.
“The emotions are sometimes so strong that I work without knowing it. The strokes come like speech.”--Vincent van Gogh Quote
Names that I have signed to my art work over the years are:
Jackie Huntley, JH, Jackie Williamson, J WMson, Jackie Webber and to date Jackie Gaines.
